1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing JunksAway Ltd. We’re here to make waste removal simple, efficient, and responsible. Our team is committed to providing reliable collection and disposal services for households, businesses, landlords, and contractors across the UK.

We are fully licensed by the Environment Agency (Licence No. CBDU573238) and proudly accredited by SafeContractor, supported by HS Direct Ltd for competent Health & Safety advice.

These Terms & Conditions explain how we operate and what you can expect when you book our services. By using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. About Our Services

JunksAway Ltd provides waste collection and clearance services for domestic and commercial customers. This includes the removal of general household waste, garden waste, bulky items, building debris, and office or site clearances.

We aim to recycle and reuse as much waste as possible through approved and licensed transfer stations.

We do not provide skip hire, long-term storage, or hazardous waste disposal services.

3. Booking & Collections
  • 3.1 Bookings can be made through our website, over the phone, or via email.
  • 3.2 When you make a booking, please provide accurate details about:
    • 3.2.1 The type and amount of waste to be collected
    • 3.2.2 The collection address and access information
    • 3.2.3 Any parking restrictions or permits required
  • 3.3 Our quotes are based on the information you provide. If the waste is more or less than described, we may adjust the price accordingly before work begins.
  • 3.4 A booking is confirmed once the details have been agreed with our team. No upfront payment is required — you’ll only make payment after the collection has been completed and you are fully satisfied with our service.

4. Prices & Payments
  • 4.1 Prices are based on volume, weight, type of waste, and labour required.
  • 4.2 We’ll always confirm the price before any collection takes place.
  • 4.3 Payment is only due once the work has been completed to your satisfaction.
  • 4.4 We accept all major debit/credit cards, approved online payment methods, and Klarna (subject to prior approval before collection).
  • 4.5 Invoices can be provided upon request.
  • 4.6 Payment must be made before our team leaves the site.
  • 4.7 If payment is not made upon completion (unless a written agreement is in place), JunksAway reserves the right to return the waste to the property. Payment is required in full upon completion of the service.
  • 4.8 – If the payee will not be present at the property at the time of collection, full payment must be made in advance. JunksAway reserves the right to refuse or postpone the collection if advance payment has not been received.
  • 4.9 Jobs over £250 require payment on arrival (before loading).

5. Access & Parking
  • 5.1 Please ensure that our team has safe and clear access to your property or site.
  • 5.2 If our team cannot gain access or safely carry out the work when they arrive, we have the option to stop work.

6. Items We Cannot Collect
  • 6.1 For safety and compliance reasons, we cannot collect or dispose of:
    • 6.1.1 Asbestos or asbestos-containing materials
    • 6.1.2 Clinical or medical waste
    • 6.1.3 Solvents, oils, or liquids
    • 6.1.4 Batteries
    • 6.1.5 Gas cylinders
    • 6.1.6 Fuel or other hazardous materials
  • 6.2 If such materials are found during a collection, we reserve the right to stop work immediately.

7. Cancellations & Rescheduling
  • 7.1 If you wish to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible: info@junksaway.co.uk
  • 7.2 Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled collection are free of charge.
  • 7.3 Cancellations made within 24 hours of the collection may incur a £50.00 administration fee.
  • 7.4 If our team arrives on-site but cannot carry out the job due to access issues, waste not being ready, or incorrect details, a £50.00 call-out fee may apply.
  • 7.5 No refunds can be issued once a collection has started.

8. Delays & Missed Collections
  • 8.1 We always aim to arrive on time, but unforeseen circumstances (such as traffic, accidents, or severe weather) may cause delays.
  • 8.2 In such cases, we’ll communicate promptly and rearrange the collection at the earliest available time.
  • 8.3 We are not liable for any indirect costs or losses caused by a delay outside of our control.

9. Liability & Damages
  • 9.1 We take great care when operating on your premises.
  • 9.2 However, we cannot accept responsibility for:
    • 9.2.1 Pre-existing damage to property or driveways
    • 9.2.2 Accidental damage caused by poor site access or unsafe conditions
    • 9.2.3 Any loss of profit, business opportunity, or indirect financial loss
  • 9.3 Any damage claims must be reported within 48 hours of the incident, with photographic evidence provided.
  • 9.4 For consumers, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service.
  • 9.5 For business customers, our total liability is capped at the total contract value.
  • 9.6 Once your waste has been cleared and payment has been made, we are unable to return any items that were removed. JunksAway Ltd cannot accept responsibility for any valuable items that may have been disposed of as part of the clearance. Once the collection is complete, we are unable to return the waste.

10. Subcontractors & Partners
  • 10.1 JunksAway works with licensed and vetted subcontractors.
  • 10.2 All subcontractors operate under our control and must hold valid waste carrier licences and insurance.
  • 10.3 You will always remain our customer, and JunksAway Ltd will remain responsible for the overall service delivery.

11. Insurance & Licensing
  • 11.1 JunksAway Ltd is fully insured and holds public liability insurance covering its operations.
  • 11.2 We are registered waste carriers with the Environment Agency under licence number CBDU573238.
  • 11.3 We are also accredited by SafeContractor, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, supported by HS Direct Ltd.

12. Environmental Commitment
  • 12.1 JunksAway is committed to protecting the environment and reducing landfill waste.
  • 12.2 All waste is taken to approved recycling and transfer facilities.
  • 12.3 We recycle or reuse as much as possible — typically diverting over 90% of collected waste from landfill.
  • 12.4 We comply fully with the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and Waste Regulations 2011.

13. Complaints & Disputes
  • 13.1 If you’re not completely satisfied, please let us know so we can put things right.

  • 13.3 We aim to resolve all complaints within 5 working days.
  • 13.4 If we cannot reach a resolution, disputes will be handled in accordance with UK law and may be referred to mediation before legal action.

14. Customer Contact Consent

By submitting an enquiry, booking a service, or providing your contact details to JunksAway.co.uk, you consent to being contacted by us via phone call, SMS, WhatsApp, or email for the purposes of:

  • – Responding to your enquiry
  • – Providing quotes
  • – Arranging or confirming bookings
  • – Discussing job details, updates, or payments
  • – We will only contact you in relation to the services you have requested and will not send unsolicited marketing messages without your explicit consent.

15. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

16. Photography & Marketing

By booking our services, you agree that we may take photographs or videos of the waste before, during, and after the clearance. These images may be used for marketing and promotional purposes, including but not limited to our website, social media platforms, advertisements, and printed materials.

We will never include identifiable personal information, faces, or property details without prior consent. If you do not wish for images of your clearance to be used, you must notify us in writing before the job commences.
